Welcome to Cybrology. These Terms govern your use of our platform. Please read them carefully — they include important limitations of liability and your responsibilities when using our tools.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Cybrology (“Cybrology”, “we”, “us”) governing your access to and use of our website, applications, security assessments, training, and tools (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration details and for keeping your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
- If you create a company account, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. The Service
Cybrology provides security posture assessments, security-awareness courses, phishing simulations, and free security tools. The Service — including all scores, reports, and tool results — is provided for informational and educational purposes to help you understand and improve your security posture.
It is not a guarantee of security and does not replace professional security, legal, or compliance advice. Some free tools rely on third-party data sources that may return sample, incomplete, or delayed results. You remain responsible for your own security decisions.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
- Use our tools to probe, scan, or test the security of systems or domains you do not own or have permission to assess.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or create derivative services from the platform except as permitted by law.
- Upload malicious code, or disrupt or overload the Service.
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or organization.
5. Subscriptions and payment
Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor on a recurring basis until cancelled. You authorize us to charge your payment method for applicable fees and taxes. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing with reasonable prior notice; changes apply to the next billing cycle. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current period.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the data and content you submit (“Your Content”), including assessment answers and organization data. You grant us a limited licence to host and process Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service. For business customers, our processing of member and assessment data is further governed by our Data Processing Addendum.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, content, course materials, and branding, is owned by Cybrology and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted.
8. Third-party services
The Service integrates third-party providers (for example Google and LinkedIn for sign-in, and payment and email providers). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any assessment or tool result will identify every risk or prevent any incident.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cybrology will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Cybrology harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or if required by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cybrology is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
